Richie Rich is an American sitcom series produced by DreamWorks Animation's AwesomenessTV for Netflix.[1] The show is loosely based upon the Harvey Comics character of the same name, with Jake Brennan playing the eponymous character.[2] However, all of the original characters (except for Richie and Irona) were replaced with a new supporting cast. The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, was released on February 20, 2015.[3] A second season of 11 episodes was released on May 22, 2015.[4]

In May 2008, Volume 1 of The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show was released on DVD by Warner Archive, which contained the first seven episodes from the first season. Currently, there are no plans to release a Volume 2 set, possibly due to lower-than-expected sales.
Version 1, from the first two seasons, had Richie involved in various events, showcasing his wealth and gadgets, including Richie watching Scooby-Doo cartoons on his big screen TV, with Cadbury by his side, and Irona lifting the sofa while Richie and Dollar are sitting on it, while she does her vacuuming task; Richie on skis on top of a hill made of jewels; and Irona playing tennis with Richie. Shaggy Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo then appeared uttering "That's rich!" before a $100,000 banknote depicting Richie's portrait (and the amount of his weekly allowance) zoomed inward before showing the show's title logo one more time. When this intro was aired in the entire syndicated run, the scenes involving Scooby-Doo characters were replaced by various scenes from the Riches segment "The Rare Scare".
Repeats of Riches, Treasure Chest, and Zillion Dollar Adventures segments were aired during the last five episodes of Season 3. There is no certainty if the 1982 Animators Strike had anything to do with the repeats. Brand new Richie Rich Gems segments were still aired regardless. Here are some of the Gems segments aired on ABC but never aired in syndication:
The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show: Volume One is a two disc set containing seven episodes from The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show. It was released May 20, 2008 by Warner Home Video. The DVD was re-released on October 3, 2017.
Few remember that two formidable stars of TV, movies and comic books - Scooby-Doo and Richie Rich - fought ghosts and crooks together in a one-of-a-kind series. Richie has all the money in the world, but what he loves most is one Dollar - his faithful dog who helps take a bite out of crooks. Richie puts his fortune to good use developing the coolest crimefighting inventions (with occasional sweeping up by robot maid Irona). Meanwhile, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are joined in their investigations by pugnacious nephew Scrappy-Doo, team players in the Fearless Detective Agency, and always solving - hilariously - the spookiest caseload in cartoondom. The riotous sleuths and the rich youth make for awesome animated fun in this Deluxe 2-Disc Set featuring the First 7 Episodes of this rare TV classic!
An animated series based on the comic book of the same name. Richie Rich, the world's richest kid, gets involved in various adventures and mysteries. Regardless of the situation, he manages to come out on top, either by spending lots of money, or by using incredibly expensive gadgets.
Each episode constantly cuts to a nonexistent commercial, implying that the creators had the delusional idea that the series could get to 100 episodes and thus be eligible for syndication. Nothing could be more improbable. Were this to be on network television, it would surely be canceled mid-episode.

I\u2019m working on a freelance commission and my regular Substack work this week, as well as updating the podcast YouTube and scheduling the week\u2019s episodes, and trying to figure out a schedule for recording over the next few weeks that allows both us and Liam, our producer, to get a nice chunk of time off!
"Home Alone" meets "It's a Wonderful Life" in Richie Rich's Christmas Wish (Fox Family Channel, Dec. 5, 8-10 p.m.), minus the screwball humor of the first or the intelligence of the second. Still, it's a harmless enough entertainment for kids as the richest child in the world makes a wish that he was never born, only to learn he has a real role in life. 2ff7e9595c
